Nigerian Distilleries Limited celebrates its End of the Year Party

Nigerian Distilleries Limited celebrated its End of the Year Party on 29th of January, 2016 at the NDL football pitch, in the company’s premises.

The event commenced with the recognition of the directors and an opening prayer by an employee. The National Anthem was rendered by the Nigerian Naval Band after the opening prayer. The Human Resource Manager NDL, Korede Kushimo did an amazing job as the MC of the party.

The flow of the party was unique as the company embraced traditional trends which present-day companies shy away from as a result of western influence.  Activities like cultural dance which has been replaced by miming of A-list musicians hit tracks in the modern world was one of the key activities at the event.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Long Service Awards to 42 employees. The recipients of the award have worked for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years respectively. The big winner of the day was Rotimi Odubuyi who received a long service award for his fifteenth year in service with NDL, the best worker of the year 2015 and won the first raffle draw. Other gift items presented to winners during the raffle draw were Electric Generators, 6x6 mattress, complete cooking gas, bags of rice and industrial standing fan.

NDL is a wholly Nigerian-owned company, NDL began production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in 1979 with raw materials imported for the blending and bottling of international brands: Dubonnet, Ambassadeur, Suze, Campari, Cointreau, Doraville Brandy, Pimms, etc.

Over the years, with experience and intensive research, NDL has grown, adding to a range of choice brands, which include: Seaman’s Aromatic Schnapps, Regal Dry Gin, Lords Dry Gin, Bacchus tonic Wine, Bacchus Lite, Calypso Coconut Liqueur, Apperito, and Dark Sailor Blended Dark Rum.
